 | 10" Diamond Grinding Head - Soft Bond (10 segment) When grinding with your single or dual-head 10” concrete floor grinder, you want diamond tooling that will get the job done and perform. Our line of 10” diamond grinding wheels have been manufactured with diamonds from one the world’s foremost diamond suppliers. The quality of diamond, mixture, and type of metals in the matrix is where you get the diamond tools’ behavior and performance characteristics. The diamond grinding wheels listed here have a medium soft bond for hard to very hard concrete floors. This is done by using softer metals in the matrix that encases the diamond allowing the matrix to wear properly on hard materials and expose new diamonds at a faster rate. The soft bond and large 15 - 20 grit diamond gives this wheel a highly aggressive scoring and grinding characteristic with fast stock removal. When designing this wheel, we also addressed an issue that has plagued some concrete grinding professionals. While dry grinding for extended periods heat buildup can cause many of the “off” brands and less expensive wheels to become warped and causes machines to act erratic and hop, resulting in discarding the diamond tooling. This is not only expensive, but unnecessary.
